Missions Conference

To every Christian and every local church, Christ’s words ring loudly . . .

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:19)

Our Missionaries

For many years, the members of Fostoria Baptist Church have given sacrificially and faithfully through faith promise giving so that FBC can partner with missionaries around the world (Presently, we have missions partners in over 40 countries!).

You can see a map of our missionary partners here.

Throughout the year, we have the privilege of these missionaries and others coming and presenting the field to which God has called them along with their burden for the people of that field.

Our Annual FBC Missions Conference

Each fall, near the end of October, the highlight of our Missions ministry takes place . . . our annual FBC Missions Conference.

During this time, we have, as our guests, 3-4 missionary families and often a keynote speaker who is presently a missionary, has been a missionary, or has an ongoing role in world-wide missions.

The conference kicks off on a Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. and continues through Sunday evening with services on Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m., events such as Men’s Prayer Breakfast and the Missionary Ladies Fellowship on Saturday, and then regular Sunday morning Sunday school and morning service and finally a Sunday evening service at 6 p.m. with a fellowship often following the close of the evening service.

Faith Promise Giving

During this conference, our hearts are once again challenged concerning the mission to win the world that has been given to each believer and each local church. In addition, this is the time of year during which we, as members of FBC, make our Faith Promise pledge for missionary support, Pledging to give above and beyond our normal tithe the amount that through much prayer God has placed on our hearts, trusting in FAITH that He will provide it for me to give it .

Likewise, it is also a time to meet some new missionaries as well as ones we already support, all while we do our best to spoil our missionaries throughout the week because we think they are really special servants of God. You don’t want to miss this conference . . . it is always an exciting and fruitful time, and you will not leave without being blessed!
