How to Listen to Sermons Online

To listen to a sermon online, simply click the play button on the audio interface, as shown. If the interface is not displaying, you may need to install Adobe Flash Player, a free plug in for your internet browser. You can do this by clicking on the button below.Adobe Flash Player

The interface allows you to adjust the volume (you can also adjust volume on your own computer by clicking the audio icon in your taskbar on your computer — see right), viewing the progress, and pausing and restarting the sermon audio.

If the interface is not displaying, and you do not wish to download Adobe Flash Player, you can also listen to the sermon by clicking on the “download” link. If you have a default audio player such as iTunes or QuickTime installed, your computer will automatically open in a new window and begin to play the sermon. If you do not have an audio player installed with your web browser, you may need to download the sermon to listen offline (instructions are below).

How to Download Sermons to Listen Later

To download sermons to listen later on your computer (off line) or on another device or CD, right mouse click on the link which says “download link”. A menu will open up. Select “Save Link As….” (in Firefox) or “Save Target As…” (in Internet Explorer).

A window will open asking you where you wish to save your audio file. You need to save it somewhere on your computer where you’ll be able to find it later. If you are unsure of where to save it, try saving it to your Desktop. Otherwise, save it to the folder in My Documents called My Music, as this is where most audio programs will look for it.

The download may take some time, especially if you are on a slower connection, so please be patient.

To play the audio file after it has downloaded, click on the file in My Documents or on your Desktop (where ever you saved it). Your default audio player will open up, if you have one installed, and will automatically begin to play the file.

How to Subscribe to Sermons Using RSS or Email

RSS stands for Really Simply Syndication. The RSS Feed for the Sermons’ Archive is a syndication of our sermons. By clicking on the feed icon in the header, you will be prompted to subscribe to the sermons’ RSS feed in the Feed Reader of your choice, such as an iGoogle Page.

You can also subscribe to our RSS feed via email by filling out the email form on the Sermons’ page. This email subscription service is powered by Feedburner, and will deliver a notification to you in your email with a link to the  newest sermon, each time we upload a new one. The actual sermon files will not be emailed to you, as they are much too large.

How to Subscribe to Sermons using iTunes

If you have iTunes (a free audio program), you can subscribe to the podcast by inserting the RSS feed into iTunes.  Doing so will cause iTunes to regularly check for new sermons on the RSS Feed, and iTunes will automatically download the sermons as a Podcast whenever there are new sermons. You will be able to listen to new sermons by clicking on “Podcasts” in the left sidebar of iTunes.

To subscribe to the podcast in iTunes, go to Advanced –> “Subscribe to Podcast”, then insert the RSS Feed’s URL into the box as shown.

How to Load Sermons onto an MP3 player or Smartphone

Most MP3 players or Smartphones will have specific instructions for you to load the mp3 files onto your devices. You should check with the maker of your specific mp3 player or phone.

Usually you can load your audio files either by plugging in your device and allowing it to “sync” with your computer, or by simply dragging and dropping files from your computer onto the connected device in “My Computer”.
