Just as Jesus Himself came to earth to live and die for us, so we as His children have been called to reach out to others with the good news of the Gospel. We have been given but one life on this earth . . . not to be lived to ourselves, but to be lived in service to our King. We have but one mission when it comes to those around us: to do our part in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person. At FBC, we take this mission very seriously and very personally. Every member of FBC is strongly encouraged to obey the command of Scriptures regarding our mission and to do so by getting involved in one or more of the many facets of our outreach ministry. Here is how you can get involved!
Every week, we have two times set aside for our members to gather and take the Gospel to our community. Each Thursday of every week, we gather in the church’s foyer at 10 a.m. for a thought from the Scriptures, a word of prayer, and to pick up visits to make before heading out into our community to share the love of Christ. During the longer days of the year, we also gather at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings to do the same; during those months when daylight is fleeting and the weather isn’t as cooperative, we gather on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. instead of Thursday evening. Every other year, we offer a winter soul-winning class where you can come and be equipped for sharing the Gospel with friend and stranger alike as you endeavor to fulfill your God-given mission.
Need a ride? The Lord has blessed FBC with several buses that we put to good use each and every Sunday morning to bring people to church. Our bus ministry covers many of the surrounding areas, including Millington, Otter Lake, Columbiaville, North Branch, Silverwood, and, of course, Fostoria. With fun activities on the bus during the travel time to and from church in addition to the exciting classes and services here at FBC, you don’t want to miss being a part of our bus ministry. Each Saturday morning our bus captains and bus workers gather to visit our riders, reach new riders, and canvas prospective areas. If you would like a ride, please contact us by clicking HERE.
There’s always something going on! We gladly use many means to reach the world around us. From our annual Wild Game Dinner at the beginning of spring to our summer Vacation Bible School to our Community Days sprinkled throughout the year to our Christmas Cantata to our annual Revival Meetings our repertoire of outreach activities is ever-expanding and changing. Needless to say, you are always welcome at FBC! And for our members, there is always some outreach ministry to get plugged into as you strive to serve your Savior.
